How to get 5G connection? – iOS & Android

You can get 5G connection if your device supports 5G network and you are in the 5G coverage.
But your device may not automatically connect to the 5G network, see below how to manually
configure your mobile device to 5G preferred.
Please note that your device will automatically switch to 4G/LTE if 5G coverage is not available in certain areas.

How to configure 5G preferred

  • iOS
    Setting – Cellular or Mobile Data – Data Options from your data plan – Voice & Data – select 5G
  • Android
    Setting – Connections – Mobile networks – Choose your eSIM – Select 5G/LTE/3G Auto

Note: 5G network is much faster than 4G/LTE network with larger battery consumption and data.
