1. Definitions

“ESIM2TRIP”, “ESIM2JAPAN”, “EASYESIM”, and “ESIMEASE” (“ESIM2TRIP” hereinafter) are a trading name of ESIM2TRIP.com operated under the laws and regulations of Japan.

In this Privacy Policy, a reference to “we”, “our” or “us” means ESIM2TRIP.com, and a reference to “you” or “your” means the person who uses our website.

2. Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and want to be accountable and fair to you as well as transparent with you regarding our processing of your personal data. This Privacy Policy contains a policy statement regarding our collection, use and processing of personal data, with whom we may share your personal data and your rights in relation to your personal data. This Privacy Policy is intended to help you better understand how we collect, use, and store your personal information. By using the Service (as term defined in the Terms of Service), you are deemed to agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and, as applicable, the Terms of Service.

3. Collecting your personal information

When you purchase Plan(s) or product(s) from us, as part of the transaction process, we will collect the following information.

  1. Your email address and phone number (if necessary).
  2. Your login information to retrieve your purchase history and details.
  3. Payment information and unique payment ID are processed by WooPayment.
  4. Mobile Data service information including IMEI, MAC address, device ID, IP address, SSID, and eSIM activation.
  5. Authentication information in the event that you choose to log in using your credentials from a third party (such as Google, Facebook, or Apple)

We will also collect information on how you use the Service which includes the eSIM profiles to use for the purposes of billing only. We do not access the content of Mobile Data.

4. Using your personal information

We use and process your personal information only for specific purposes in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information – Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003, Japan.

  1. Manage your account and help you to manage your account.
  2. Contact with you to provide the Service and customer support.
  3. Keep the Service secure and prevent crime and fraud.
  4. Manage our network and your use of our network.
  5. Offer our products and services in case of opted-in.

5. Third party

We do not and will never share, disclose sell, rent, or otherwise provide personal information to other companies without your express consent, other than to the extent necessary to specific suppliers, carriers, or agents solely to the extent required to perform our obligations under our Terms of Service and where such suppliers, carriers, and agents have given the appropriate commitments in relation to the security and privacy of your personal information.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place a purchase order, arrange for shipping, or return a purchase or provide you with services, you are providing us with your consent to our collection and processing of your information and using it for that specific reason only.

6. Disclosure

Your personal information may be processed by our providers, carriers, or agents on our behalf for the purpose of processing applications and providing information or services to you. The use of personal data for these purposes will remain under our control. We may also disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

7. Restriction

We will only keep your personal information for the period of

  1. Any period required by law such as consumption tax.
  2. The periods in which you are using the Service.

We will also constantly review and improve our measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, accidental loss, disclosure, or destruction.

If we decide to use an outsourced company or to have a contract with another company to provide us with services or a service on our behalf to process your personal information, we will ensure they have the same level of security measures of us and only process your personal information in the way we have authorized them to. Those companies will not be entitled to use your personal information for their own purposes but where required to fulfil our obligations in the Terms of Service.

You acknowledge that the Service is not secure unless you have taken specific steps to secure or encrypt your connection and data. Your communications may go through several network devices before being delivered. We cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorized access or loss of personal information which is beyond our control.

8. Payments

All Payments made through our website are processed via WooPayments. Your payment data is encrypted through PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), and stored in WooPayment, not us. You may also need to read Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy of WooPayment.

9. Cookies

Cookies are files with small amounts of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. The information stored in a cookie may relate to your browsing habits on the web page, or a unique identification number so that the website can recognize you on your return visit.

We use the term “cookies” for cookies and all such similar technologies. We use cookies to track the activity on our website and hold certain information.

Cookies do not contain your personal information, but you can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of the Service.

10. Age of consent

If you are under age in your jurisdiction, you must get your parent or guardian’s consent to provide your personal information to us, otherwise, you are not allowed to provide any of your personal information to us.

Your continuous use of this website or the support service after these changes are posted, you are deemed to agree to the revised policy.

12. Control over and access to your personal information

Under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information – Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003, you have a right to know what personal information we hold about you. You can contact us to request a copy of the information you are entitled to with personal-information@esim2trip.com.

We may charge you up to 1,000 JPY as a processing cost. We will ask you to provide your identification to ensure we do not disclose your personal information to the wrong person.

We understand that you have rights over your personal information, and take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your personal information.
